In classroom training, the lift truck operator will be taught about the model he or she would be utilizing. Information consists of specifications such as load, height and weight capacity. The operator would learn the basics of charging or fueling the forklift, depending on whether the engine is battery-powered or gas-powered. Safety procedures regarding the particular truck, like how to safely walk around the forklift, would be covered.
Driver training would be supervised to ensure that the operator will know how to correctly drive the counterbalance lift.
